Pre MSA Paraclete style HPV

From my point of view, this is a quality vest for the price-performance ratio, I finally got the desired vest and at a reasonable price. I have had many different vests from manufacturers such as WARRIOR, SDS, KDH but also brands that made copies of other manufacturers, the design did not come close to shekkingears. Back to the topic, the vest is the best processed copy I have ever had, very comfortable, the management is of high quality material too, whoever buys it will not regret it, I highly recommend it.

Bought this for Black Friday 2022. This is my third Shekkin order. As with the others, it seems to be a pretty sturdy and solid reproduction! It’s quite simple, but this is part of the reason I wanted it. Stitching is solid, velcro is solid, design looks spot on. Fit Medium SAPI plates inside.

I was a little worried that the smaller size and non-padded shoulders would make it uncomfortable. I was wrong, I find this setup more comfortable than modern carriers and I prefer the side straps than the cummerbund style closure.

I would recommend it if the look and style is something you think you may like. I really love mine.

So I recieved this plate carrier only 2 days ago, and must say I was pleasantly surprised. The color is very close to the original, and the stitch work looks superb.
My only gripe, like the first reviewer stated, is the fabric itself is a bit different from the original Paraclete gear. All of the original Paraclete pouches that I have added from my own collection seem to show this.
Other than getting it sized to me and attaching my pouches to it, I haven't had a chance to really man handle or run around on the field and really abuse this plate carrier, so I can't speak for its durability or longevity, but I do believe it'll survive most, if not all of what I run it through.

The Paraclete Hard Plate Vest (HPV) is an extremely simple plate carrier that was commonly used by CAG before the HPC with its MOLLE cummerbund began to overtake it. It is lightweight and does its job well at holding plates and can accommodate a few essential pouches or allow a chest rig to be worn over it.

Given its association with the unit, the HPV has become increasingly hard to find, with very few replicas being made of this short-lived vest. ShekkinGears has done an excellent job at capturing the original Pre-MSA Paraclete HPV in this wonderful replica.

The body of the vest is sewn accurate to originals and its dimensions easily hold standard medium size ESAPI Ballistic Plates (test fitted with Hesco 4400 and Evike Dummy SAPI's). The fabric and webbing are an accurate 'smoke green' color that is very close to old gen 'East Blue Street' production materials.

The fabric itself is a 500D Cordura as the site says, and while originals used the thicker and coarser 1000D Fabric, this ultimately affects very little in spite of everything else. There is overall very little to improve in terms of general construction and material color.

The only comparable replica is the one offered by ToySoldier, who unfortunately uses incorrectly-colored webbing material, while ShekkinGears' example is not only more accurately-colored, but also priced cheaper and easier to order.
